Alexana’s inaugural saignée of Pinot Noir Rosé has more complexity and depth due to barrel aging. An uncommon practice in the Willamette Valley, the Rosé is fermented in 75% neutral French Oak barrels, and the remainder in stainless steel. Bushels of strawberries waft from the glass, followed by a nib of smoke and a pleasant perfumy character. Strawberry rhubarb pie with baking spices coupled with great texture, fine tannins, and great acid, make this silky, balanced Rosé perfect with food while enjoying the sun.
