From Dick Shea's highly regarded vineyard in the Willamette Valley's Yahmill-Carlton district. This is a classic Shea Pinot Noir, dense, brooding and worthy of extended cellaring.

The 2009 Shea shows fresh aromas of sandalwood, candied cherries and rosemary bramble with an earthy background. Classic young Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir, this is a taught, tart-cherry pie-bomb with a blast of black and red fruit on the mid-palate. The flavors are long and subtle on the finish, echoing the fruit and earth notes. A young wine now, the 2009 Shea will continue to develop with cellaring. Only 265 cases produced.
