The 2010 Revana Vineyard Block 7 Pinot Noir is an exclusive small-batch bottling of the Pommard clone. The 2.5 acre Block 7 is located on the southeastern most section of the Alexana Vineyard and is planted entirely to Pommard. Enjoying a southern exposure, Block 7 is comprised predominately of volcanic soil that lends an elegance and depth to the wine. Complex layers of black cherry, blackcurrant and spice are supported by a velvety frame, flirting with rose petal and a touch of tobacco. The lengthy finish is juicy, yet rich and supple with a sense of elegance. Beautiful now, the Pommard will only improve with cellaring. Only 90 cases produced.
