Dick Shea’s highly regarded vineyard sits on sedimentary soil over fractured sandstone in the steeply contoured hills just east of Yamhill. The 2007 Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir has the color and texture of deep purple velvet, intertwined around aromas of spice box, sarsaparilla and dusty road laced with a kiss of smokiness. True to the Shea Vineyard fruit profiles, deep dark fruit, earth and bittersweet cocoa seductively emerge with a little areation. The fruit was sourced from blocks 8 and 10 on the East Hill.
